Daniel Day-Lewis Chosen To Play Abraham Lincoln In New Spielberg Movie
Daniel Day-Lewis has signed to play Abraham Lincoln in a new biopic directed by Steven Spielberg.
The film, just as Lincoln's rivals for Doris Kearns Goodwin Team book, based on a screenplay by Tony Kushner, the playwright was behind the recent docudrama Munich Spielberg.
Spielberg said in a statement:
"Daniel Day-Lewis has always been regarded as one of the biggest players, is the silent film era, the golden age of cinema, or even some time in the distant future of cinema," while adding: "I am grateful and excited that our paths cross at some point, near Lincoln. "
Shooting begins in the fall of 2011.
I just wished that the consumption of Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter. That would be cool Spielberg film.
